In 1972 a career change was made by joining the team as Spa Steel Products Co. Inc. He served numerous capacities ranging from inside and outside salesperson, to estimator, reinforcing steel estimator and detailer. Bob eventually worked his way up to sales manager and finally to president in 1987. Bob remained president of Spa Steel until the close in 2009.Bob joined the U.S. Army reserve in 1968 gaining a real knowledge of leadership and determination. After a great six years he earned an honorable discharge. Bob attended Syracuse University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1971. Working throughout school with the Capital District State Park Commission, he really took a passion to the environment and his community.
In 2010 Construction Innovations Co. Inc. was co-created by Bob Edwards and Mark Murray. Construction Innovations is both a manufacturer of Thermocure Concrete Cylinder Curing Boxes and Miscellaneous fabrication as well as being Manufacturer’s Representatives.
Bob has been happily married to his wife Susan for over 40 years. He has two successful kids and four grandchildren. Bob enjoys traveling and spending time at the ocean salt water fishing. He is an enthusiastic horse racing fan frequenting his local Saratoga Spring’s races in the summer.
